Castle Rock built out fast through the 1990s and 2000s, and stucco came with it. The Meadows, Founders Village, Metzler Ranch, and Crystal Valley Ranch are full of hard-coat and synthetic stucco walls now twenty to thirty years old. Cracks run diagonally off window and door corners because that is where the wall moves most. Our stucco repair starts there.

At 6,224 feet the UV load is brutal on south and west walls. The binder chalks, color fades, and the film loses the flex it needs to survive freeze-thaw. Douglas County also sits in the hail belt, and upslope storms off the Palmer Divide pile wet snow against the base of walls. Elastomeric stucco painting, two coats minimum, is what holds up here.

Older Castle Rock is a different job. The frame houses around the Wilcox and Perry Street blocks have lap siding, wood trim, and decades of paint layers that need scraping and spot priming before anything goes on.
